Millions of America’s children, especially those from low-income families, have no real hope of achieving their full potential. The biennial Trial Urban District Assessments (TUDA) reports have consistently revealed the gap between those who are proficient in reading and those who don’t even meet basic proficiency. CogRead can help parents, schools and entire communities identify and address the primary factor that prevents reading difficulties and empowers a child’s reading readiness.

Overall, in urban communities, 80% of fourth grade children from low-income families score below proficiency in reading. 50% are below basic proficiency. The numbers are graphic. Even if your percentage of children who are not proficient readers by fourth grade is lower, the need to address the issue at its core is still critical.
